Great to be in Oxford today to hear Dr Janusz Pętkowski from the Morning Star Missions to Venus team delivering his keynote ‘The Possibility of Biochemistry in Concentrated Sulfuric Acid’ #discuss2025 ‘Life As We Don’t Yet Know it’ . “We are not afraid of controversial topics and controversial ideas. We actually think that life does not necessarily need water–that the fact that we are water-based life is a consequence of our environment that we have here on Earth. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that life elsewhere has to be based on water.”  Dr Janusz Pętkowski
